  Education Business Systems

  • Description: In collaboration with FD Learning, we have designed and developed a complete Oracle College Management System focused on meeting the requirements of UK colleges in the recruitment, enrolment, assessment and management of the student population. The application uses the latest features of Oracle RDBMS and Oracle Developer and is currently used by over 60 Colleges in United Kingdom. The web-based version uses lightweight and middle tier Java plug-ins for emulating custom client-server functionality.


  eBiz-Manager XML Map Designer (XMAP)

  • Workload: 30 man months
  • Description: The multi-platform eBiz-Manager product range provides integration between enterprise systems, e-business and other applications. It enables customers to achieve quantifiable return on investment by linking business processes, applications and databases both across and between enterprises. Business information is interchanged securely, reliably and seamlessly between enterprise systems and those of customers, partners and suppliers. The eBiz-Manager software allows applications to exchange information using virtually any format of agreed document standards with no human intervention. Because the product set is fully scaleable, it is being used to process everything from EDI/XML based messaging through to providing the infrastructure for comprehensive 'dot.com' implementations.


   System for Equity Management

  • Description: The application handles all back-office operations regarding settlement, clearing, open position, investment decisions and accountancy records of client's equities.


  EDI Mapper

  • Description: The application enables a user to translate either a flat file to EDI or vice versa without requiring the knowledge of the EDI mapping language. The ‘point-and-click’ – ‘drag ‘n drop’ interface allows the client to modify data using personalised tables and to export data in the format he/she specifies.


  Learning Environment and MIS Interface

  • Technology: Client-Server and Web-based (3-tier) Applications with SQL Server 2000, Oracle Server 8i, 9i, Visual Basic 6, ASP, ActiveX.

  • Description: The Learning Environment (LE) is a powerful web enabled Learning Management System (LMS) capable of delivering on-line learning material and assessment, enabling effective communication and tracking the progress of learners. The system can work either with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle Server databases depending on the customer choice and it uses ASP technology for being remotely accessed by the users through the Internet browsers. The MIS Interface is an application that can transfer data between Oracle database of the Education Business System (EBS) and the Microsoft SQL Server/Oracle Server database of the Learning Environment (LE) system. The application interface is build in Visual Basic and the data is transferred between the two databases using XML packets generated by the Visual Basic code which calls the Transact SQL/ PLSQL stored procedures using the ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) Technology.

  NewsAgent for Libraries

  • Technology: C++ Applications on Windows NT and Sun Solaris v2.5 platforms, Rational Rose.
    Workload: 20 man months
  • Description: The application provides a high quality, accessible, user-configurable electronic news and current awareness service with a mixture of content streams and metadata (descriptions of documents). The application was designed in UML with Rational Rose.


  SEDAC 2000

  • Beneficiary: Public Administration (Romania)
  • Technology: Access 2000, Visual Basic 6, ActiveX, Oracle Server
  • Workload: 15 man months
  • Description: The SEDAC 2000 is a complex and ambitious client/server system that can be used to insert and transfer electronic documents between specialised economic agents and the Public Administration. The system interface is built in Visual Basic and uses an Access database and ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) technology. The client side generates the messages in the EDIFACT standard, verifies, encrypts and transfers them to the server side using the Internet. The server side decrypts, decodes and inserts into the central databases the messages received from the clients. The system has also been implemented using Oracle Server/Developer technology.


  E-Commerce Application for Electronic Equipment

  • Description: Three tier e-commerce application allowing real-time access to Pricing, Product Availability, Order Status, Sample Request and Shopping Cart features. The system also includes a Database Administration module. The application was designed in UML with Enterprise Architect.
